Plum Smoked Tea Compote

This seductive condiment is the creation of Paola Calciolari, a pharmacist-turned-cook who dedicates herself to recreating her grandmother’s classic recipes from Emilia Romagna. Her specialties are rich compotes and spicy mostardas from local fruit, which she slices and candies into preserves. Her hard work pays off into chunky condiments that are incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Their sweet, sometimes spicy taste are perfect to match to fresh cheeses, pates, as well as roasted meats, duck breast and other savory dishes.
